I hate it when a band gets so damned popular that old-school fans have a hard time getting tickets to see them...seriously, if a band is expected to sell out a concert in a matter of minutes, there should be some sort of process where longer-standing fans get first dibs.
Wilco will be bringing their rock to the NYC in June...and I won't get to see them! Tickets went on sale last Friday at noon and were gone in a flash. I was really looking forward to hearing songs from the amazing new album "Sky Blue Sky" in a live setting.
And to rub kerosene in the gaping wound, here's recent footage of Wilco in Australia playing one of the enw tunes...it sounds SO great!

You know what man, it's a NY problem. The great thing about NYC is that every band plays here, so you can see a lot of good shows. The bad thing is that everyone sells out, often instantly. You really have to devote yourself to getting tickets. I've even been bumped out of seeing tiny bands in NYC. Out of all these millions of people, you gotta figure it isn't hard to sell out a 250 person venue. And for a band like Wilco, the same thing goes for a few thousand. Definite bummer though.
